Some of you may recognize some of this as from an old post. This just seemed to fit with Easter coming up and with the times being what they are with a worldwide pandemic. Things may not seem as certain as they might when we don’t have that added. I’ve been praying and reflecting inward a lot and really seeking God in all this. We’ve never had a worldwide virus that traveled so quickly and affected so many people at once whether directly or indirectly. I’ve had my attention more intently on His face, and in His Word. I feel so intent on getting what God is saying to me. Something someone else said reminded me of this former post and the message He woke me up from a solid sleep to give to me to share a few years ago. I want to share it with you here again.
“Can you just imagine?! What it must have been like on that first Resurrection morning to see what happened in the spirit world! Before the discovery was even made on Earth, all Hell feared and trembled, while all Heaven rejoiced because the angels and demons had witnessed, and they knew what had truly happened!
They knew that the Perfect Sacrifice had been made and that the Lamb of God had been offered up and had been accepted. This completed the atonement for man’s sin. They knew that now and forevermore Satan had lost the victory over our souls – Hallelujah! Jesus had taken our sins on Himself, died and went to Hell suffering penalty for our sins in our stead, and had risen from the dead in mighty triumph, winning the victory for our souls – Hallelujah!. Jesus made the way possible for man, if he would, to simply confess who He Is, and accept His free gift of Salvation in order to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. Praise the Holy One, Jesus.”
The Holy Bible has scriptures to support all of the above. You can find them here:
Matthew chapters 25, 26, 27, and 28.
If you read Mark chapters 14, 15, and 16; Luke chapters 22, 23, and 24; and also John chapters 18, 19, 20, and 21, you will read three other eye witness accounts of these events, much the same as different points of view of the same events.
This is a lot of reading, but if you pray before you read any of it, God will open your spirit and heart so that you can get all the understanding that you can from it. He wants us to know these things. We can’t comprehend all of the depth, height, and width of all God accomplished for us through these things, but we can get such an exquisite taste of it that we can not otherwise comprehend. As exquisite as this taste is, it’s only a hint of the things to come (both in this life and in the life to come in Heaven) for us who have asked Him to be our Lord and Savior.
1 Corinthians chapter 15 explains about the resurrection.
Ephesians chapters 1 and 2 explain the blessings of being redeemed by God through Jesus’ suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection.
I personally use the New American Standard Version of the Bible. It’s easy for me to understand, and it’s translated straight from the original text of Greek and Hebrew. I encourage you to do some looking around for a version that most suits you and is translated from the original text (of Hebrew for the Old Testament and Greek for the New Testament), and read at least some every day. Think about it during the day, and have an attitude of prayer and openness to God speaking to you concerning what you read. If you have asked Him to forgive you and live in you as your Lord and Savior, His Holy Spirit lives in you and will teach you and guide you in all things.
If you haven’t taken this all-important step, I encourage you talk to a family member or friend, or to go to my “How to Ask Jesus to be Your Lord and Savior” page. How to do this is explained to you there. It’s the most important decision you will ever make in your life. When you do that, God will send His Holy Spirit to live in you, and He will teach and guide you.
I would love to have your comments, and how God has blessed you and helped you. Mostly I would love to meet you in Heaven one day if we never cross paths in this life on earth. I can say that Jesus’ spirit loves you through my heart, and it would be truly rewarding to know that you have taken this important step. I pray that you will and that you have a blessed Easter weekend and then some. That day when the clouds roll back like a scroll, oh, what a day that will be to see Jesus.
Be blessed, my friends
