I got a “Happy Anniversary” from wordpress today. My first post date is September 24th, three years ago! It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago. I want to thank all of you who have left a comment, “liked”, followed, or stopped by for a visit. You have helped make blogging something to look forward to. I appreciate that you took the time to look at my site and stay a little while.

This coming few weeks, I plan to make some changes and make the site more colorful and updated. One of the things I am looking forward to including is posting recipes with photos for my new Home Grown Foods page. If there is a story or recollection concerning the recipe, that will be included. More book reviews will also be posted on a page for that. I have read so many great books and would like to share them with you.

I am still working on my own novel, “The Sailor’s Legacy,” and will soon be ready to do the last self edit before I sent it off to an editor. The goal is to hopefully have it back and ready to publish before the end of the year. Blogging and writing this novel have been learning experiences for me, and I look forward to maturing more in my writing as I continue on.
